Gerald P. Sawyer Art
I have been involved in the arts for thirty years, executing both two- and three-dimensional projects. Most of my career has been in the commercial freelance profession. Recently, I have been casting fine pewter and bronze sculptures, using centrifugal and lost wax casting methods. Sizes range from miniature to heroic. I build most of my own molds and incorporate different principles and disciplines to achieve unique results. Over the years, I have taught business people from all over the world some of my techniques, and in the process have gleaned from them some very useful tips and insights. I have also co-authored a book entitled "The Art and Science of Centrifugal Casting," which works through engineering problems of producing a variety of pieces for production using rubber molding and centrifugal casting techniques. All this, I believe, has led to a positive attitude towards my work and attention to the needs and visions of my clients. I don't know which I enjoy more - meeting new people or creating tangible forms from the thin air of our combined imaginations.
